Discovered JH from my early love of The Lemonheads in the early 1990’s so was thrilled when this album from her own band dropped in my first year of college. It’s remained on rotation ever since over the years and still stands up today. The perfect foil for Evan Dando.

Excellent trip-hop album

Becoming a self-sustaining human, discovering Ani - simultaneous major events. Learning about music that didn't get played on the radio and how it could be important to your actual life. This album was a revelation in a time of revelations.

This album has a grand feeling to it, it is huge in scope and sound. I also enjoyed the saxophone licks. Hot take, but I feel like the album is a bit bloated with some long tracks. Though I have to admit, I would have gone to see them back in the day if I was around.

🔥🔥🔥

The cherry on top.

The band, hailing from Brittany (France), offers a thoroughly captivating musical experience from start to finish. It’s rhythmic contemporary jazz, steeped in an incredible nocturnal atmosphere. It blends the ECM sound with the best of British jazz. The piano melodies are mesmerizing, and the band cleverly adds electronic touches and a few J Dilla-style beats.

An exciting debut album—France can also produce high-quality neo-soul, with sincere and personal lyrics; you can really hear the singer/bassist/arranger’s passion for beatmaking. The groove is there, the vocals are superbly crafted, and the brass and wind arrangements are a real highlight. An artist to follow in the future

Dylan at his best.

I know every word to every song still. A timeless album.

Brings back all those early '90s feels. Crawling out of the '80s, shedding the glamour and neon, putting on the Frye boots, reaching for the flannel. Perfect for a top down city summer night.

This is the best album cover I’ve ever seen

Absolutely goated album that introduced the most gangster Royce da 5'9" to me during my teenage years. Him going bar to bar with eminem on every track gives you goosebumps with some of the funniest and wittiest bars
