A fun listen, lots of different cool sounds integrated in this album. Lots of groovy parts and a refreshing listen as it was not overly predictable in form.
I was not sure what to expect and maybe had my standards set too high. It was refreshing to listen to something almost purely instrumental for a change. I was feeling alright for most of the way through, but Pt. 4 Psalm sealed the deal for me.
This album has a grand feeling to it, it is huge in scope and sound. I also enjoyed the saxophone licks. Hot take, but I feel like the album is a bit bloated with some long tracks. Though I have to admit, I would have gone to see them back in the day if I was around.
A pleasant surprise to find something new that I really enjoyed, and will continue to explore over many relistens. Relaxing, haunting as someone as mentioned, and full of detail. 9/10 stars.
A work of art, a perfect album. Hits in the feels. I'll be listening to this forever. How do I only pick three tracks that stand out? I could pick half of the album easily. 10/10
The album that got me into Arkells. So many bangers on this album. I mean, Leather Jacket alone is a song many bands wish they had in their catalogue. An old friend that I will listen to forever.
A near perfect album and a great continuation from the beauty the is Stick Season. I love the continuity with the "The Last Of The Bugs" reference in "The View Between Villages". I find the back half not quite as strong as the front, but that is me looking for things to critique. This album will be in my rotation for years to come. 9.5/10.
