Just not for me not for my taste. I understand the achievement but just not how I want to spend my record time.

This is my first interaction with this band. These efforts will sing about anything. Literally. Anything. And I love it! Well, those situations were the B side to me was better than A. It’s really a lot going on here. Some punk some Synth punk some dreamy Indie rock.

I remember the mania this band caused. My first real understanding of what Beatle mania must have been like. I don’t think I liked it as much at the time as I do now.

Okay so it’s an odd one being that it’s in German but this is good ass shit. Again it’s complicated cause the vocals are a bit rough but if you can get by that it’s a kick ass synths fun punky upbeat gem

This is brilliant. Melodic gorgeous voice that sounds old school late 70s soft rock but in the indie smooth good way. If you like Wilco, real estate, fleet foxes you will love them

This was a very good album. I didn’t appreciate it at the time since ‘Purple’ (which melted my face off) came out the year before and paled in comparison, to me. Some absolute stand out tracks but a few that I still skip today.

This was a hell of a lot of fun. Not on the level of ‘Core’ or ‘Purple’ but was great to just turn up in the car.

This is a terrible cliche but it’s true. This album was like a movie to me. ‘Nevermind’ is probably a better record… but this one his me more on a gut level. Definitely in of my Top 5 of the 90’s.

Imagine Godzilla stomping around the benign neighborhoods of South Jersey and laying waste to everything in its path during the Summer of 1995 and that gives you an idea of how this album knocked me and my friends on our asses.

Two of my new favourite love songs. Two songs I don’t care for but are fun. Angel voice.

Wojciech Kilar · 1992
The film remains a favourite, amazing practical effects and a beautiful slant on the Dracula myth from the originator himself. The score though is what elevates the film, Polish composer Wojciech Kilar crafted a score for the ages. It’s haunting, beautiful, scary, romantic, foreboding in the best way. It’s incredibly emotional in the way it’s used in the film. Kilar’s work remains IMO underrated and his genius shone again in the score for ‘The Ninth Gate’ also elevating that film. He is very much missed from the cinematic world. ‘The Beginning’ and ‘Love Remembered’ the standouts IMO.

Tight, atmospheric, psychodelic, krauty record from this Japanese band. An album with no bad songs, in a language with no familiar words. Somehow, the Japanese always manage to turn established genres into something of their own.

This Boston Shoegaze outfit had me hooked after seeing the song ‘Winona’ on MTV’s 120 minutes alternative show in 1992. It took me down a rabbit hole of almost bands I still listen to today but this is an underrated gem. From the dreamy opening ‘Delaware’ to the epic ‘Kick The Tragedy’ and its break midway through I still love it. Their cover of Madonna’s ‘Angel’ is an all time favourite and I’m glad they reformed after an acrimonious split in 1994. Definitely check out this album.

Radiohead · 2000
I’m still obsessed with this album from the first listen after purchase on the release date and have listened to it every month since. As a huge Radiohead fan this album is and remains otherworldly to me, beautifully ambient and futuristic. Those who throw down ‘OK Computer’ as the high point need to go back and re-listen. This album was way ahead of its time and remains so.

Hayden Pedigo · 2025
American primitive guitar as a soundtrack for a road movie. Pedigo is a great player and does a fantastic work with harmonies, feelings and atmosphere but most of all takes the gengre further adding air, ambience, and more complex and deep sound.
