My Second favorite of in the Geese world. A bit more relaxed and I love it.

My introduction to Geese and very happy about it. Glad I came in for this one and went on to discover the rest. CW....Original voice in a sea of similar voices. Very cool.

THREE songs from this album are three of the greatest scream sing out loud while crying after 12teen too many cocktails. NO one else can claim that hence making it a one of a kind masterpiece. Not sure Damien would want that claim but he get its from me and that is that and there you go.

Idk how people can make this many good songs on one record.

I adore this. Wax and her crew are so well put together. idk if would have known it was NOT a solo venture of hers if I didn't know before hand but knowing it was a group thing with her sister and MJL was kinda cool. I liked waiting for the others to pop in with their trinkets. Great schnit here.

floats the line between Indie rock & country to perfection. I can live on a porch drinking a beer watching the day go by with this one on & have the best damn day. Feels like Wax is in her lane and on cruise control. I know this sounds odd and maybe I am far from heaven here but if you switch out the name on this album with Taylor Swift,,, this is a 857 times platinum album, Grammy nominated, beast of a album. it has that quality of writing and that quality of production. its is that worthy. Glad to have to our selves.

Ironically I was writing my review for Coldplay's Parachutes while listing to this. take out the mega mega smash hits on Parachutes obviously but they have similar vibes. Both heartwarming both moving both grand in the elegance. Slow enough to be elegant fast enough to not be dull. not an easy thing to do. IDK if I would have compared the two if I was not writing the review while listening but here we are and there you go. This is the perfect mood setter. perfect listen before bed. perfect to just be in.

Came to me at a time in my life that was very special and very warm. This album was the theme to that time and I imagine it was for a lot of people in the same way it was for me. Sad but hopeful and introducing them to what we would all know as one of the greatest bands to ever do it.

Far as rap hiphop albums go this is perfection for me. My era of rap. I do lean more towards the early years of hiphop with the Pharcyde, Tribe, de la etc. But as a teenager Tupac was our everything. And idk if even 2pac fans know about this album at least they didnt back in the day. More now with Spotify and word of mouth. This is a part of My middle teenage life soundtrack.

Give my score some grace. I have not been a JW lover these last 26 years, more of a strong admirer from a far kind of person. He clearly is as gifted a guitar player & musician as we have in the world & of my generation, I can see that. For me it is not something I want to live in less times than more and that is due to the heavy grittiness of it. I do not spend enough time in the garage tinkering with shit. If and when I do enter that phase you can bet I will be into Jack heavy. until then I will continue to enjoy him in orange tic-tac portions.

I Dig it very much. I don’t think it’s a home run but at this age to hit a double it’s pretty pretty pretty good. I am still chasing Turn On the bright lights with this band. I think I might be in the minority.

This is not 100% for me but I think they know that and lean into it. I call it Frantic jazz. I do not know and would be shocked if anyone was anything LIKE THEM. That alone makes them special. I can appreciate what they are doing and I enjoy them. I have a hard time finding the right time to sit and live with this though. Hard to find the right mood / timing to lounge with this. I will someday and really appreciate what these two geniuses are doing. I cannot wait to explore the first album, I think it is a bit less frantic paced.

A classic. Dance your self clean to me is one of the greatest songs ever and all of this album is essential listening for me and where I am today with music. Would be perfect if not for Drunk Girls.....this one didn't age well and is kinda eh. Rest is so gosh dang good it overcomes it. His wife had left him while he at war and all he wanted from his home life was this record. The through line of the episode was him getting this album back. (loose memory of the details here but you get it) I went and listened to it immediately. I assumed the writer had a connection with it and wanted to live in that experience. I understood about half way through the album. To this day and everyday forward I buy this album for anyone I come across who I find out has a record player. It is THE essential album to own.

Ahh such a fun album. Think B-52s if they were not so out there, in this era and more indie electronic. HAI think that is right! feels right! wonder how they would feel about comp. Just a good time hang and really well designed pop indie music. I could see them crushing a festival back in the day.

Came out in 1998! sounds like it is from this decade. How I missed this as a teenager pisses me off. I could have spending the last 18 years with this absolute masterpiece. SHAME ON anyone who has listened to this over the last 18 years and has not once a week stopped 108 people to tell them about Placebo. Without you I am nothing. I am mad at all of you.

It is perfection and set the tone for all music taste to follow for me. When this came out I was just learning to be an adult (still learning) and it opened up a world that is still here and growing. It means a lot to me and every second is as valuable to me as anything is I spend time with musically or cinematically. What Amelie is to movies for me Give up is to me for Music.

Says r&b / soul but it’s way more than that. It’s indie rock soul with r&b vibes. It’s unique. It’s perfectly produced and laid out wonderfully

My first time with Bonobo and will not be last. Loved spending time with this beautiful produced and engineered album. Perfect electronic music in my opinion. a clear 2026 best for me.

Absolute legend of an album. only thing keeping it from a perfect 10 is the chatter around the songs. which I love as a part of the experience I get it but on the 200th listen I sometimes just want to hear the songs solo.

Gorgeous but somehow haunting at the same time. Really capsulated the feel of the cover art. Great debut. Glad I found this. Clear best of 2026 for me. must listen. Oh and Blood is one of my favorite songs of the year If not my top favorite.

top 20 most underrated albums of its era. Hold up with anything in its world from that decade. A Must listen. I see copies for $5 all the time! just crazy pants.

I know it should be higher according to everyone else but for me it’s just an amazing album that has a lot of things I like. Big swings huge arrangements and classics. For me I just can’t get into 30% of the thing. That kind of soda pop soul r&b is not my thing.

You gotta like the flute! If you do this is for you a reallly fun soulful album with funk beats and yeah a lot of flute action.

This is my first interaction with this band. These efforts will sing about anything. Literally. Anything. And I love it! Well, those situations were the B side to me was better than A. It’s really a lot going on here. Some punk some Synth punk some dreamy Indie rock.

I remember the mania this band caused. My first real understanding of what Beatle mania must have been like. I don’t think I liked it as much at the time as I do now.

Okay so it’s an odd one being that it’s in German but this is good ass shit. Again it’s complicated cause the vocals are a bit rough but if you can get by that it’s a kick ass synths fun punky upbeat gem

This is brilliant. Melodic gorgeous voice that sounds old school late 70s soft rock but in the indie smooth good way. If you like Wilco, real estate, fleet foxes you will love them

Yeah it’s official these guys are amazing. Second album I’m listening to this year and both are just absolutely incredible. Fun. Jammy, punky, well produced and well executed. This may be a stretch but when I was young I heard the chili peppers BSSM and I didn’t know what I was hearing….these guys make me feel that way.

Yeah I’m late to this. I was pretty young when it came out but still. Another prime as a whole album it’s good. Not an absolute world beater as many would say but is a good full listen.

I finally got around to giving this a go. I have seen it in so many collectors show off walls. I have never been a fan of the Smiths singles I’ve heard throughout life. I thinks it’s because I don’t like his voice. However, I get it now. Per usual with thoughtful artist, the album is a whole and is better than the sum of its parts. This is about as true to that statement as it gets. maybe other Smiths albums are the same. We shall find out

Yeah it’s a classic of my youth. Not my favorite Radiohead but I see why so many people say it is. And no Rainbows isn’t either.

Oh I dig this so much! Fun tight rock indie country but not really country maybe more like poppy folk. Like Real estate meets Wilco Hell idk but it’s so good. As was their other album billion little lights.

It’s brilliant. She is a gift. The product is stunning. The music is melodic and smooth. I do not think I adore it as much as most do but I think it’s only because I’m not as emotionally smart as most. Lyrically I’m just not that deep to fully grasp her balance without someone telling me it’s brilliant and I don’t think that’s a fair way to judge or rate something. I want to feel it and get it at my level.

Where in the F I have been! This is brilliant! We need to be talking about this band more. Indie electronic shoegaze rock pop….I guess is a good way to describe them. Kinda like Washed out. idk but I love it so damn much. diamonds for me.

What an original group. Folk soul punk vibes all of it. Just wonderful. Kind of Turnstile if Turnstile was folky. Idk it’s perplexing to me at least. In a good way. They are form New Orleans and to me I can feel it. Maybe I’m making that up to fit the narrative. Because Nothing about their music is NO sounding in the traditional sense but the way they play, his voice, the soul of the music all just feel that way to me.

Classic. Bangers hits and fun songs. Extremely well produced and executed. This album lead many to discover legends like Ebo Taylor and other African beat artists. Great entry into that world and blending both American folk with Afro beat.

I don’t know what else to say, but this is a perfect album. This is how you create a full experience. These anre artist! true musical masters as a whole. I don’t know much about music playing and I don’t know if their masters individually but as a whole, this is a masterpiece this is a masterful record. It’s soulful it’s haunting It’s beautiful It’s everything I want. Every listen is better than the last. It’s shamefully unrecognized.

Unbelievable overrated. Unbelievably under-appreciated. Well produced well sung well played. A gem. (catch documentary if you can)
