Cover The Mirrors (2025)Ben KwellerBen Kweller absolutely blows out his emotions into this brilliant celebration and sorrowful mourning for his son Dorian (performed under the name Zev). I’ve had the distinct pleasure of witnessing BK Live well over 20 times since seeing him the first time over 20 years ago in Denver. No show more raw than his benefit show the year prior to this release where he fought through every lyric. Sharing his loss, his anger, his sadness, his joy and his love for his family and his music. This album blends all that beauty and emotion with his masterful pop lyricism and his trademark Rawk style. With bonus contributions and collaborations with Coconut Records, MJ Lenderman, Waxahatchee and The Flaming Lips. Give this album and his entire catalog a listen and go see his show every chance you get.
