Phil

As much as I loved the Jackson 5, I'd prefer the Jacksons because of their music

They've been singing Christmas Carols ever since and finally they've gotten a chance to record one

Another covers album by them (like the Motown one, three covers albums recorded) and they finally cemented themselves as Australia's greatest success stories

Their first venture doing a covers album (the original had three Motown albums) paid off and they were finally awarded with the ARIA Award for Highest Selling Album

The whole album sounds almost like they were trying to break the "Bee Gee" mould

My favourite son from this album has to be "Taller, Stronger, Better" because it almost became my theme song during a dark part of my life

His version of "I Wish" sounds so funky

The birth of an Australian superstar

Overall, this album sounds like a true homage to the old Soul classics

First time I heard this, I knew this song would go places (religiously, I mean)

Green Day's music also contributed to my high school days as well

This album is a celebration of George's songwriting and his soulful voice

I've idolised him since I was a kid and to have him as a dear friend - I can't ask for anymore than that

The Rat Pack epitomises entertainment in a jovial way

All of his songs that he recorded are classics in their own right

The songs in this album are timeless

A Canadian pastor and an Aussie pop star "finding faith" in the city of sin? Great!

The King. 'Nuff said.

I've gotten fond of listening to some of these tracks from this album

This album showcases their harmonies very well

Another of my favourite New Zealand bands

I got the chance to sing a Craig David song in high school, and I got this album signed by Craig himself. Another of my favourite R&B albums

One of my favourite Classical concert albums and I had a chance to record this album live in front of a congregation

I got to learn about Charlie Parker when I was in high school and his improv skills are really innovative

This album probably changes the way R&B albums are recorded

There are R&B albums, and then there's Back At One

My friends introduced me to this band and I think this was where hip-hop shifted musically

One of my favourite movie musicals

One of my favourite up-and-coming artists who actually started as a member of a vocal group

One of my favourite singer-songwriters ever

Another of my favourite Aussie music exports to make it to the US

The absolute standout of pop music and how music was recorded back then

Great album and one of my favourites from them

We get to hear one of Babyface's original songs for the film "Soul Food"

AViVA is one artist I've gotten to listen to lately (and I'm connected to her musically)

This album was the first album I listened to on cassette growing up in Manila

My first time I did an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical on stage and it was a personal change for me

This album showcased my first love of musicals

This soundtrack made me love musicals even more, and I got a chance to do this musical in 2018

First time I've heard him sing solo, I was flawed by his voice

This album introduced me to New Zealand R&B

My first introduction to one of hip-hop's greatest icons

This album defined my high school days

One of my favourite Aussie bands and their sound is so Australian

The ultimate pioneers of R&B

One of my favourite albums from 1999, and their first #1 album

They were the pioneers of Australian R&B

The birth of one of my favourite Australian pop groups ever.

Probably one of my favourite Australian exports to make it to US radio

Showcases why John Farnham is “The Voice”

Their music is just timeless
