okay. Hear me out. You NEED to hear this record. if you don’t know , let me set this up for you. matt champion was a member of America’s second favorite boy band (brockhampton) we’re on a verse way back in 2019 he mentions that he wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for (Dijon) . Yes. THAT Dijon. The one who has helped mk.gee on Justin Bieber’s latest victory lap. why do I open with that? because this is the first love letter into the sub genre of which Dijon+Mkgee created. Dijon even has a feature here! a lot of this is Matt with raw vocals on a drum machine, and the hurt that he experienced to make this record is what makes it hauntingly beautiful. I love it, I love it even more when it gets cold outside

A voice like no other… can get boring, but that’s where the beauty is.

Influences are audible, but Satchel is very much their own unique, remarkable thing. Their music is both crushing and uplifting, often in the same track (see: "Suffering"). Shawn Smith, you are loved and missed.

Headphones and a dark room record that so many more people should love and appreciate. Shawn Smith, R.I.P.

It's not fair to call any record by QOTSA a "reinvention" for the band, because they've chased their muse pretty religiously, regardless of where said muse led them, but "...Like Clockwork" felt like a completely new level.

This transcending space and time upon my first listen, I was teleported to a place I can’t quite explain and it was beautiful. Just wow.

One of the greatest records by any band ever. No skips.

This should be required listening for all young Americans. Required. Babies too.

One of the most overlooked records ever. I love this. Glory into Days into Foxhole, my god… wish I was alive when it first released, happy to exist while it does.

Never heard anything like this and when I first heard it was frightened by the raw energy and individuality… at least that’s what it felt like to me.

I’m an alligator! 🐊 This is phenomenal. Really rocks, really rolls, lots of love.

Invigorating. Nothing like it.

I can recognize their talent but I don’t really enjoy their music. It feels pretentious to me.

I'd dabble again. I love the bass in "All I Need".

I love "Green Light" (thanks Good Place) plus the vibe of the album.

One of my most listened to albums. Rick Ocasek’s music and Ben Orr’s cool voice just pair perfectly. The songs Rick sings are great also, but my favorites tend to be Ben songs. They are one of the most underrated bands ever in my humble opinion.

Not much going for me besides the title track, which reminds me of my dad.

A nice, groovy listen. Thanks, Devin.

Needs another few listens to make a deeper opinion, but for now I like the guitar work.

Beautiful voice but the songs failed to hook me.
