The best album of 2021. With a career spanning back to 1985, and 8 previous albums, they came back with a vengeance in 2021 with Steadman’s Wake, an album that is the best of their career, which is saying something since the Ring album is pretty damn great too.

This album was so good i already wanted to buy it after only one song!!!!

If you like Broken Social Scene, this Canadian indie outfit hits harder and Bryan Webb’s heartachingly gruff vocals are perfect.

One of the greatest pop-punk albums of all-time.

A statement kick-in-the-door for a generational artist, capturing the heart of adolescent relationship frustration. Brought both familiar and new elements to modern pop with the help of a capable rock/indie producer.

Thoughtful, often funny, always female centered lyrics, great sound. Often reminds of the 90ies but in a fresh way. Love her.

If you like Matthew Sweet, The Posies and Teenage Fanclub this Canadian power pop band has it all; harmonies, loud guitars, multiple singers and all the hooks. Fantastic album

Canada’s answer to revivalist garage psych. Hooks and lots of trippy vibes.

There are some heaters, like "The Wave," "Move Like You Do," and "Where Are You Now," but overall, it's a bit of a soft, sanded down return from Jungle. Wonderful to have on in the background. Emotionally muted. I am missing a touch more fireworks, bigger risks. Lydia Kitto has become the voice of this band though, which I do appreciate as a development. There was something unsustainable about their vocal strategy before and it seems that they've broken through the ceiling now with Kitto at the helm. I just wish the songwriting was more compelling. Still, worth a listen.

The perfect autumn album. Nick Drake was such an amazing talent, and the sadness of his short life is reflected in this simple but prfound debut album.

such an amazing project with amazing songwriting

A tattoo dedicated to this creation.

Sir Chloe is a forever favorite. I am the dog quickly became an album of no skips.

God Chris Cornell. What I would give to experience his sound for the first time again.

dare i say one of the best debut albums oat

A perfect album about grief and longing for something that could’ve been.

My kind of Americana

This album is unique in using the voices of South African singers alongside Paul Simon and his band. It was not like anything else released in that moment. Some songs were stronger than others but all were made more unique by featuring the sound of South African vocalists and their incredible harmonies.

Tom at his solo peak.

Forget Oasis (please . . . can we all just FORGET Oasis), and even forget Blur (although they are actually quite good) . . . This group and this album are the very definition and perfection of everything that is great about Brit Pop.
