Jack White

Give my score some grace. I have not been a JW lover these last 26 years, more of a strong admirer from a far kind of person. He clearly is as gifted a guitar player & musician as we have in the world & of my generation, I can see that. For me it is not something I want to live in less times than more and that is due to the heavy grittiness of it. I do not spend enough time in the garage tinkering with shit. If and when I do enter that phase you can bet I will be into Jack heavy. until then I will continue to enjoy him in orange tic-tac portions.

Jack White knows how to make noise sound good: raw guitars, simple riffs, and production that turns distortion into identity. Frozen Charlotte sounds like garage rock, but a garage carefully built. There’s anger, mockery, satire, and a kind of theatrical violence in the way he plays. He’s not reinventing his language, but pushing it to a point where every guitar feels like it’s shouting something at the world.

This album kicking me in the gut and I want more!! In your face old school rock and roll!!
