7.5Don’t ask me why I picked this Bowie album to review first… maybe it’s because of the melodies. They were so transcendent to me at the time. Sure it’s probably over sentimental. But that didn’t stop me from listening to this on repeat along with OK Computer in the spring/summer of 1998.

9.6If it’s one person I’d have loved to watch in his prime, it’s David Bowie. What an artist!

10.0Bowie, man he was my idol when I was a kid, the big red hair and crazy pants he wore made me wanna be up on the stage too… this is some wacky jazz but bowie can do no wrong

9.1“Heroes” is Bowie operating at a level few artists ever reach. The album sounds cold, monumental, and impossibly elegant, turning alienation into pure artistic grandeur. Its title track alone is enough to justify the myth: not just a song, but one of the most powerful declarations of beauty under pressure ever recorded. Bowie doesn’t ask for emotion here, he commands it.

9.4Blackstar is a sublime farewell from an artist who refused to become a monument. With “I Can’t Give Everything Away,” Bowie closes his career not with confession, but with mystery, elegance, and transcendence. The song feels like a final ascent: fragile, luminous, and impossible to fully grasp. Few artists have ever left the world with such control, beauty, and artistic dignity.

10.0David Bowie was and is such an inspiring person. His philosophical beliefs are extremely interesting and his ability to reinvent himself over and over and create different characters is admirable.

9.5David taught me two things back stage at Live Aid, the first was that women’s coats have the buttons on the right side and the holes on the left, but mens are the other way round, and the other thing I can only show to my wife!
