Lauryn Hill

One of my desert island discs

I mean… its beautiful. One of the first albums that got me into music. My mom had do wop that thing on a cd constantly playing in our car as a kid. Such a beautiful album and mix of hip hop, soul, and r&b.

This all album is a complete class act. So good. It just sinks in and stays with you.

really good artist but i never went back to relisten. i definitely need to though - many people seem to rate her up really high, and i'm sure for good reason

what a legend !! Lauryn Hill dropped one of the greatest debut albums of all time and then vanished and ya know what, that’s perfectly fine ! everyone say, thank you, Lauryn Hill !!

The greatest female rapper of all time, no contest. I prefer The Score though.

First hip-hop record I really fell in love with, truly a perfect album, and a perfect artist.

Perfection. Timeless. The in-between storytelling packed between songs are such bonuses to the songwriting.

Altered the view of female rappers for me in the 90s. Opened my world up to another genre
