I mean, if you don’t listen to this and don’t realize the perfection of the entire, I feel sorry for you. Prince played every instrument on 9 of the 16 tracks, which are all masterpieces. You could make the argument that the weakest track was the hit single “U Got The Look”, that’s how freaking good it was.

Listen to this Giles Martin mix. 20 years ago I would’ve told you this was in the bottom half of Stones albums for me. Now it’s become the one I return to the most. Also - don’t sleep on the extra tracks. Holy smokes. Two words: Jimmy Page.

Cryptic lyrics, deep and intense vocals, rock riffs of the walls, what else can you ask of a live album?

I knew I was a real Beatles fan when I heard She Said, She Said and realized it was my favorite track along with I’m Only Sleeping. God bless John Lennon.

I never listened to a Black Sabbath album in my life until this one a year ago. I’m so far gone now, I will put Ozzy up there with Elvis, Dylan, The Stones, The Beatles, Prince as a life changing artist for me.

Hits you hard and doesn’t let you breathe (intense drummer sure helps)

A classic of classics. Wish I was there.

I’m sure the movie was made for the soundtrack’s sake (What a true movie soundtrack should be).

The definition of Swamp rock

Takes you to another musical dimension. How come more people aren’t talking about BBs?!?!

Underrated grunge masterpiece

Soul searching with power rock riffs

Funk/hard/alternative rock powerhouse record.

Rock opera at its best!

One of several bands (Khruangbin, Sababa 5, etc.) dipping into this funky international melange of psychedelia, soul, reverb-y guitars, and deep pocket drum kit. I particularly like the track Shiro the Olympian - the ringing guitar near its end lifts the track.

I come back to this '92 record from time to time, from the super group that backed John Hiatt on his Bring the Family album (Hiatt (lead vocals/guitar), Ry Cooder (guitar), Nick Lowe (bass/vocals), and Jim Keltner (drums)). Sure, some of the song writing is not very stellar, but, goodness, the playing is superb. Listen to Keltner's drumming on Inside Job, She Runs Hot, and The Action. Such a deep pocket.

Pure musicianship, natural flow & good songwriting. Love it!

Organic, authentic, vibrant. Refined, direct, poetic. Sincere!

inexhaustible

One of the best Italian albums ever. Italy, Naples, Jazz and Blues perfectly blended in a unique way. Elegant and heartfelt.
