I love this album!

Austin's own Alejandro Rose-Garcia offers haunting tunes across this record with a notable contribution from Esme Patterson on "Dearly Departed". Shakey Graves is know for his unique blend of folk and rock and often playing guitar, percussion, and vocals all at once. "And The War Came" did not fall flat following his breakout debut album "Roll The Bones".

the vocals are so raw. this album makes me emotional every time

the most beautifully written and produced album i've heard. every time i listen to it, it feels like the first

very obviously written by a teenager and has some cringy moments but that's what makes it so beautiful. such a raw album with such good lyricism

60's pop-inspired easy listening. Whitney's 2016 debut album is both light-hearted and somber. Light Upon The Lake is an album I've returned to frequently for the past decade.

A classic, and for good reason. All the Beatles contributed songs, and the diversity of styles, craftsmanship, and especially the segue of songs in the second half make this a masterpiece.

Terrible band. Like a Beatles tribute act with concussion.

Astral Weeks stands as one of the first absolutely perfect albums I bought and listened to when I was in high school. It was 1983 and I bought it on cassette, still sealed from 1967, along with Jefferson Airplane’s Surrealistic Pillow, both still sealed as new old stock. They were writing poetry set to baroque psychedelic music for sensitive kids.

God Only Knows may be the perfect song.

I can't stand the idea that I didn't make into that tour. A beautiful journey into grieving, forgiving and understanding each other.

The absolute epitome of refinement and artistic expression. Production so good that it makes other albums seem like a cheap simulacrum

An absolute masterpiece. No bad songs.

Scandinavian Jazz recorded inside a church?? Count Me In.

I absolutely love this album, beginning to end, incredible, jazz, infused, razzle, dazzle, crazy lyrics, and the breath from the smoking gun Vernon Reid on guitar.

Polythene Pam and She Came in Through the Bathroom Window are two of the greatest songs they ever wrote. Bonus to a trip into amazing music: Golden Slumbers, Because and Something.

IMHO the greatest album to come out of Japan. ps: props to the folks at Nichion Studio
