As music, the show happened about them — their songs, played to other people’s guests. These are the records above it played from, with each song and the episodes it went to.
When I first heard this album, I got that feeling I love when listening to something new (at least to me) for the first time—it happened with Arcade Fire's *Funeral* and Wilco's *Sky Blue Sky*.
I was blown away by the sonic variety, the lyrics, and the album's entire atmosphere.
It’s one of those albums where every track is good, but some are exceptional.
I love how she blends so many different genres throughout the album, especially the mix of reggaeton, jazz, flamenco and experimental sounds. She somehow always manages to reinvent herself with every album, but at the same time always stays true to herself and her roots. It feels like an album where she wasn’t afraid to experiment or do something completely unexpected. It can go from loud and chaotic to soft and intimate within the space of a few songs, but it still feels like one complete body of work. I love artists who aren’t afraid to evolve and try something new, and I think this album is a perfect example of that.
no words can describe this album but you can be sure i sobbed while listening to it for the first time. there is a genius and the kindest soul inside this woman, and it is so beautiful to see her creating her music career. the fact that someone can be THIS multifaceted is so inspiring.
