7.9Grungy and loud, a debut that sounds like it's already been battle tested on stage before it ever hit tape. Finn Keogh wears every insecurity right on the surface, the band layering thick 90s inspired feedback and riffs around him without burying the vulnerability underneath. Thorn and That's Me carry the biggest highs, anthemic in a way that still feels personal rather than manufactured. Blue Song slows things down and gives the record some real breathing room. Doesn't always avoid repeating its own tricks across eleven tracks, but the rawness carries it through. A confident, unpolished debut that earns its name the hard way.
